NUI Galway’s academic council has approved a proposal to introduce anonymous marking of exams commencing in the next academic year (2017-18) that no student’s name will appear on the formal examination papers and students will only be identified by their student ID number.

A group of students and staff from James Madison University, Virginia, USA, are due to arrive in Mayo today, Friday June 9 to take part in a summer study programme in collaboration with Lifelong Learning at GMIT Mayo, UCC and Waterways Ireland.
